KATYO is a youth led Non-Government Organization dedicated to empowering young people and communities to build sustainable, innovative and productive livelihoods. We focus on giving youth the digital tools, digital skills, and digital opportunities.

As a registered Community Based Organization, KATYO runs programs that spark creativity, grow economic opportunities and uplift communities through practical and future focused solutions. We provide education and mentorship by partnering with institutions, community groups, self help groups and development organizations, locally and internationally.

Our story
KATYO was founded by a beneficiary of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project, whose transformative journey inspired the organization. Having benefited from the opportunities the NYOTA initiative provided, the beneficiary now serves as Founder and Executive Director, leading KATYO with a strong commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable community development. That experience shaped our vision: creating opportunities for young people through skills development, economic empowerment, leadership and strategic partnerships that turn ideas into lasting social and economic impact.
Our active project, Youth Empowerment Initiatives, is collecting MoUs with interested companies, registered cooperatives, youth led groups, women groups and other organizations for special table banking programs.
