What is table banking?
Members of a group save money together every meeting, then lend to each other from the pool at a small interest. The interest stays in the group and is shared at the end of the cycle.
How do I pay my contribution?
Open the app and tap Pay now. You get an M-Pesa prompt on your phone. Enter your M-Pesa PIN only on that prompt. Your treasurer can also record cash.
Does KATYO hold my group's money?
No. Each group collects into its own paybill, till or bank account. KATYO keeps the records safe and gives you reports.
Will KATYO ever ask for my PIN?
Never. KATYO will never ask for your M-Pesa PIN or a code we sent you, by phone, SMS or WhatsApp.
Can my group join?
Yes. Chamas, self help groups, women and youth groups and cooperatives can register. Create an account, then choose Register a group. KATYO checks the details and turns your group on.
What is the member card?
