Getting started

  1. 1

    Create your account

The chairperson or secretary signs up with their phone number.

  2. 2

    Register the group

Add your registration details, meeting days and officials. KATYO checks and approves.

  3. 3

    Set your rules

Contribution amounts, loan interest, fines and welfare. Change them any time with approval.

  4. 4

    Invite members

Share your group invite code. Members join and start paying from their phones.

Your money stays yours

Each group collects into its own paybill, till or bank account. KATYO does not hold group money.

Two people for every payout

The person who asks can never approve. Cash needs a second official to confirm.

Never share your PIN

KATYO never asks for your M-Pesa PIN. Enter it only on your phone’s M-Pesa prompt.
