Terms of use

These terms apply to the KATYO website and member platform run by Kibisem Alliance & Transformative Youth Organization.

1. Your account

Give true information, keep your password safe and tell us at once if you think someone else used your account. Never share your M-Pesa PIN or a code we send you. KATYO staff will never ask for them.

2. Group rules come first

Each group sets its own rules for contributions, loans, interest, fines and welfare in its constitution. KATYO records and applies those rules. Disputes about group decisions are settled under the group's constitution.

3. Money

KATYO is not a bank and does not take deposits. Group money stays in the group's own paybill, till or bank account. Payments show in the platform once M-Pesa confirms them, or once an official confirms a paybill or cash payment. Loans are approved by group officials, never automatically.

4. Membership card

The KATYO card proves membership. It is not a payment, debit or credit card and does not work at shops or ATMs.

5. Fair use

Do not try to access other people's records, disrupt the service or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that put members at risk.
